MOTORHEAD - stub review added 20th November 2008

Album Review: 1916 (1991)

For fans of: heavy metal... and Motorhead not sounding too much like Motorhead

Motorhead - 1916Surprisingly good album that amazingly doesn't feature the same song recorded myriad different ways.

Motorhead have been guilty of a lot of sameness throughout their career. If anyone can tell the difference between 'Ace Of Spades' and 'Overkill', I'd love to know how. 1916 is different however as there is plenty of variety through the tracks. The typical Motorhead style is there, but on several of the songs they actually sound like decent musicians.

Excellent album with the last track having an especially memorable, heart rending nature. 1916 features some of Motorhead's best work.

Check out... 'Love Me Forever'. Very catchy.
