Album Review: Welcome To The Real World (1985)
For fans of: rock... and a strong 80's synth sound
Fabulous album containing 80's hits 'Broken Wings' and 'Kyrie', Welcome To The Real World is as likeable as a puppy dog with a blank cheque on its back.
You could argue it isn't rock, but we'd have to b*tch slap you with a sequined glove if you did. There's a deluge of keyboards and synth melodies, but the drums are huge and the bass is fatter than yo momma. Think of it as a lighter more controlled version of 80's hair rock and you won't be far off.
The songs are gigantic, the sound subdued yet beautiful, Welcome To The Real World is a subtle masterpiece.
