Album Review: Richard Marx (Self Titled) (1987)
For fans of: rock... and Richard Marx looking all young
Fabulous debut album from Chicago born singer songwriter Richard Marx, this self titled album is crammed full of catchy yet thoroughly inoffensive tracks.
The ballads 'Endless Summer Nights', 'Hold On To The Nights' and 'Heaven Only knows' are not only the best songs here, they are some of the best slow songs of all time. The remaining tracks range from okay to good, but all are memorable in their own way. What the album lacks are a few adrenaline pumpers, leaving this an overly 'relaxing' experience.
Not an album to make the blood scoot round the body, but still worth a listen or ten. This is an excellent listen for those with a penchant for the lighter side of rock.
Check out... The ballads.
