Album Review: Silver Side Up (2001)
For fans of: hard rock... and huge songs you can't possibly have missed
Hard hitting 3rd album from Canadian rockers Nickelback, Silver Side Up is the album that put them on the map. 'How You Remind Me' was the big track, but 'Too Bad' and 'Never Again' saw some decent chart action too.
If you've heard the big ones you'll know what the rest of the album sounds like. There isn't a lot of variety between the tracks which you can look at as a good or bad thing depending on how much you like the big songs.
Although this is a characterful hard rocking album, once you've heard one you've heard them all. With more variation in pace this could have been a hugely memorable release.
Check out... 'How You Remind Me', obviously..
