Album Review: The Long Road (2003)

For fans of: hard rock... and self plagiarism

Nickelback Rites - The Long RoadFollow up to the huge selling Silver Side Up, The Long Road walks a similar path to the previous release. Stylistically the songs are more of the same, although there is plenty more variety from song to song than before.

There is a misdemeanour in the shape of 'Do This Anymore' which is a blatant rehash of 'How You Remind Me'. I swear the words are interchangeable and the fact Nickelback allowed it on the album is terrible.

The Long Road is a better album then Silver Side Up. Full marks to Nickelback for adding variety this time, although a slap on the rest for plagiarizing their own back catalogue. Numpties.

Check out... 'How You Remind Me' and 'Do This Anymore' side by side. you'll laugh 'til your elbows ache.
