Album Review: Hole In The Sun (2007)

For fans of: hard rock... and Kelly Keagy

Night Ranger - Hole In The SunNight Ranger, most famous for their excellent track 'Sister Christian' have produced a fine album with Hole In The Sun.

Whilst the sound is Night Ranger through and through, there is a marked modernistic feel to many of the tracks that makes the album feel quite contemporary. The band like to experiment, most noticeably in 'Rockstar' which features the guys funk rapping. It isn't as bad as it sounds.

The second half of the album tails off from the heady heights of the first, but overall this is a great listen. Hole In The Sun should appeal to both new audiences and existing fans.

Check out... That funk rapping.
