Album Review: Look What The Cat Dragged In (1986)

For fans of: hard rock... and punk influenced lady-boys

Poison - Look What The Cat Dragged InWith a rough and ready sound, this fairly simplistic collection of punk metal party tracks is great fun but not overly rewarding.

The title track is a fine song with a memorable chorus, but to be honest most of the album could have been written by a group of spotty teenagers in an afternoon.

Not up to the standard of their later work, Look What The Cat Dragged In is an interesting glimpse at the origins of Poison's sound. As debut albums go, this is described perfectly by its own title.

Check out... The lack of interesting guitar trickery on show. Eddie Van who?
