PRIDE OF LIONS - stub review added 24th November 2008

Album Review: Pride Of Lions (Self Titled) (2003)

For fans of: hard rock... and the vocal find of the decade

Pride Of Lions - Pride Of LionsThe first album by Jim Peterik's Pride Of Lions is an absolute master class in how to make a beautiful, characterful melodic rock album. Vocalist Toby Hitchcock demonstrates his amazing voice throughout the record, although Jim sings several parts and his vocals are none too shabby either.

Rather than naming the good songs, of which there are many, this is an album where it's easier looking at the lesser tracks. 'Prideland' is the only weak moment there is. Sounding like a cast-off from a second rate Disney movie, it really shouldn't be on this album.

Pride Of Lions, by Pride Of Lions, is a stunning debut album and, forgetting the dull intermission (which you can easily skip through anyway) crammed with some of the best songs you'll ever hear.

Check out... Where to start? At the beginning I guess...
