Album Review: Street Talk (1984)

For fans of: rock... and softened Journey

Steve Perry - Street TalkKind of like Journey with the raucous guitars removed, this is a nice if overly soft release.

The debut solo release of the former Journey front man, Street Talk has several memorable tracks including 'Oh Sherrie', 'Foolish Heart' and 'She's Mine'. To be honest the whole album is pretty good, but this isn't music to get excited about. This is music to play in the background whilst practicing the art of seduction (preferably with someone else).

Steve Perry has seldom been in finer voice, but he does sound better with more oomph behind him. Worth a listen if you fancy a variation on the traditional Journey style.

Check out... 'She's Mine', Perry sounds smoking on this track.

Track List:

1. Oh Sherrie
2. I Believe
3. Go Away
4. Foolish Heart
5. It's Only Love
6. She's Mine
7. You Should Be Happy
8. Running Alone
9. Captured by the Moment
10. Strung Out
