DAVID READMAN - stub review added 29th November 2008
Album Review: David Readman (Self Titled) (2007)
For fans of: hard rock... and Pink Cream 69
Lead singer of Pink Cream 69, David Readman unleashes his first solo album. PC69 member Dennis Ward produces the release, and artists including Tommy Denander and Eric Ragno can be heard beavering away in the background.
Be in no doubt this is a good album with plenty of memorable songs, however that final level of brilliance is missing. Apart from the astonishingly good ballad 'Love In Vain', there are no outstanding tracks. This is an album of consistent near-greatness.
David Readman has his name on a fine album here, but not an amazing one. There's no doubting the quality of his voice, but that last ten percent of sublime songwriting is lacking.
