Album Review: Circles And Satellites (2006)

For fans of: alternative rock... and the end of the promise

Rooster - Circles And SatellitesSecond and final release by Rooster, Circles And Satellites isn't as talented as their debut it's still surprisingly good.

This is a bright album with a very modern sound, but it's also more pop orientated than the first. There's a lot to like but many of the tracks aren't as memorable as they should be. It's one of those albums you really enjoy while it's playing but soon forget when it stops.

As an album for a brief fix of modern spunky rock this is perfect, but if you want something with a little more depth you need to look elsewhere. There are a few great tracks and it's undoubtedly worth a play.

Check out... 'One Of Those Days' has a wonderful off-key sound. It's an anti-hero of a song.
