Album Review: Run The Streets (2011)
For fans of: Hard Rock
Swedish act Sanchez is built around veteran musician (and the not particularly Swedish sounding) Jose Sanchez. The guy has been performing since the 1980s, but the first time we came across his work was with this band's 2009 EP "Nightride". "Run The Streets" follows that release and sees the band now signed with German label 7Hard.
For whatever reason the EP came across as okay-ish, but I have to say this album comes across as rather appalling. I don't like poo-pooing an album and always try to find the best in any release, but there isn't a lot to like with this one. The vocals are terrible, the musicianship borders on lazy, and the production does it few favours. There are possibly some good songs here struggling to get out, but the performances don't give them any chance.
In Summation:
Yeah, this is not good. I'd avoid it unless you're feeling immeasurably brave.
