Album Review: Face The Heat (1993)
For fans of: hard rock... and things with a Germanic flavour
Classic Scorpions album featuring numerous memorable songs.
The album starts with the hard hitting 'Alien Nation' and barely drops in quality from then on. A number of slower songs punctuate proceedings, notably 'Under The Same Sun', 'Woman' and 'Lonely Nights', but the end result still rocks like a lump of granite.
The overall vibe is a little artificial, although it's hard to know why. It doesn't matter one jot though as this is a stunning album with memorable moments galore.
Check out... The start of 'Alien Nation'. Few songs are this recognizable in the first tenth of a second.
