Album Review: Break The Cycle (2001)

For fans of: alternative metal... and angst

Staind - Break The CycleStaind's sound is clearly aimed at teenage kids who think the world is against them. This is some depressing sh*t. Anything that makes you shout "Cheer Up!" at your speakers is a bad thing.

Some of the songs are okay, but most of the album is just such a downer. If this is what it's like being depressed, count me out.

One of those albums that will either appeal like honey or repel like a stink bomb, 'Break The Cycle' is aimed at a very specific market and is bloody good at what it does. It's not my thing at all though. Sorry...

Check out... 'Outside'. It's brilliant. Then listen to Wig Wam so you can cheer up.
