SUNSTORM - stub review added 3rd December 2008

Album Review: Sunstorm (Self Titled) (2006)

For fans of: hard rock... and Joe Lynn Turner's creamy vocals

Sunstorm - SunstormInspired project featuring the vocal talents of Joe Lynn Turner matched to songs by, amongst others, Jim Peterik.

This is a stunning release with numerous feel good anthems and astonishing ballads. It's hard to decide which of them is the star of the show. The final duel probably comes down to the sultry 'Heart Over Mind' and the bounding 'Danger Of Love'. Just try listening to either without a tear or twinkle in the eye. It's impossible.

With so many great tracks it's pretty irrelevant which is best. The whole album is just exceptional. It loses a few marks because several of the songs are covers, but we'll forgive all involved just this once.

Check out... Van Stephenson. He originally recorded a couple of the better tracks from this album. It would be fair to say he was a legend.
