TALISMAN - stub review added 14th December 2008
Album Review: 7 (2006)
For fans of: hard rock... and Jeff Scott Soto
Cunningly titled 7th album by Talisman, 7 finds Jeff Scott Soto in fine voice and Marcel Jacob and others sounding equally brilliant. This is a hard rocking yet melodious album with intricate compositions and a powerful rhythm sound.
The star here is the songwriting. It's all so catchy it sends shivers down your spine. There's little point mentioning individual songs as they really are all great, although 'Shed A Tear Goodbye' and 'Back To The Feeling' merit a quick big-up. Every other song is only a whisker away from classic status.
7 is a monster of a release. It's so consistently good throughout there's simply no excuse for not owning this.
Check out... 'Forevermore', a wonderful ballad.
