Album Review: Far Beyond The World (2001)

For fans of: hard rock... and non-concept albums

Ten - Far Beyond The WorldFollow up to the slightly bonkers, although good, concept album Babylon, Far Beyond The World is Ten's 6th studio album.

There are numerous good tracks on this album including the thumping 'Glimmer Of Evil', the sentiment-rich 'What About Me?', the speaker melting ballad 'Last Of The Lovers' and the speedy rocker 'Outlawed And Notorious'. The style varies throughout the album from soft folk-style love songs to full-on power metal, and it all sounds glorious.

Far Beyond The World is up there with Ten's best work. There are several really good tracks and no filler or silly spoken bits to break the flow. We like.

Check out... The heavy, almost funk, rhythms of 'Glimmer Of Evil'.
