Album Review: The Name Of The Rose (1996)
For fans of: hard rock... and subtle Celtic influences
2nd album from Ten, The Name Of The Rose is similar in concept to the first although nowhere near as memorable.
The melodies are, if anything, stronger on this album but the choruses are lacking a large drop of polish. 'Wildest Dreams', 'Don't Cry' and 'Standing In Your Light' all have their merits, but the overall feeling is of an album that was rushed out after the first release without pausing to make it good.
The Name Of The Rose is a disappointing album. Although it has nothing terrible on it, there is little that's good either.
Check out... The ballad 'Standing In Your Light' isn't too bad.
