Album Review: Back Street Symphony (1990)

For fans of: blues rock... and stadium filling pub bands

Thunder - Back Street SymphonyDebut album from the majestic Thunder, Back Street Symphony is overrun with catchy tracks and a fun factor you could bottle and sell illegally.

Danny Bowes has a simply stunning voice that makes every song utterly inviting and fresh. The title track has hints of 80's hair metal, but with a maturity and intelligence often missing from the glam genre. 'Dirty Love' is so contagious you want to put cream on it. 'Love Walked In' is one of the finest ballads you will hear, period.

This is a brilliant collection of songs. For the sound of a band having a whale of a time making the best rock and roll imaginable, this is the daddy.

Check out... The blues magic of 'Don't Wait For Me'.
