Album Review: Modus Vivendi (2003)
For fans of: power metal... and songs about underwear
Featuring the vocals of interestingly named singer 'Urban breed' (big U, small b), Modus Vivendi is a fine collection of urgent heavy rock tracks with a thumping battle metal rhythm section.
Songs like 'Anubis', 'Cyberdome' and the star-sized 'Unwelcome Guest' are exceptional. Several other songs catch the ear too and, to be honest, there isn't anything truly bad on the album.
This is a really good heavy album. The production is muddy in places and some of the songs are not that memorable, but overall Modus Vivendi is a top release.
Check out... 'Anubis'. I swear they keep singing about underwear!
