Album Review: Tell No Tales (1987)
For fans of: hard rock... and 80's hair metal done Scandinavian style
Tell No Tales is the 3rd studio album from Norwegian band TNT and their second to feature american vocalist Tony Harnell. The band's sound is dominated by his soaring vocals and the guitar skills of Ronnie Lé Tekro. Style wise they owe plenty to the likes of Queen and Journey and the big stadium acts like Def Leppard.
'10,000 Lovers' is the album's big track. With a mammoth sing along chorus it's one of the most catchy and loveable rock songs out there.
Although the three instrumentals conspire to break the flow, the remainder of the album is none too shabby. The production is too shallow however and Tell No Tales is left sounding a tad dated nowadays.
Check out... '10,000 lovers', as if you needed to ask.
