Album Review: Wild Seed Of Mother Earth (2004)

For fans of: heavy metal... and grand funk master general Glenn Hughes

Voodoo Hill - Wild Seed Of Mother EarthWow! Has Glenn Hughes ever sounded better than this? This may be guitarist Dario Mollo's project, but the former Deep Purple bassist steals the show like a jewel thief taking diamonds.

The sound is heavy but controlled and the majority of the album is more funky than Huggy Bear. There's so much character on this album they must have held casting sessions.

Words really cannot describe how sublime Wild Seed Of Mother Earth is. You need this. It needs you. Deal with it.

Check out... 'Dying To Live'. It's like Iron Maiden on LSD and Helium. Bloody awesome.
