Album Review: I Get Wet (2001)
For fans of: alternative metal... and real-classy album covers
Imagine a cross between the brain-haemorrhaging music you get in Japanese cartoons and the fun punk music from American teen-movies and you'll have the sound of this album spot on. It's racy, contagious, unremittingly energetic and absolutely, unashamedly terrible.
This may be rock/metal music to party to but the overall effect is just like the album cover. It makes you feel like you've been punched in the nose. And not in a good way. The sound is horrific - a sort of synthesized guitar meets child's keyboard meets death throws of a donkey. Most of the songs sound the same with dreadful key changes and constant repetition.
If this is a joke, I don't get it. If this is serious... somebody get this man a doctor. Quick.
Check out... The awfulness of the whole album.
