Album Review: Skin (2000)

For fans of: hard rock... and covers of Alanis Morissette songs

Westworld - SkinCommencing with the mind-blowing title track, Skin gets of to a staggering start. 'Skin' is possibly the finest track singer Tony Harnell has ever put his voice to. From then on the album remains a compelling listen, even if it doesn't hit those heights again.

Style-wise Westworld is like T.N.T. without the guitar trickery. It successfully fuses pure hard rock with mellower interludes and Tony Harnell is, as ever, in fine voice. The remaining musicians provide a solid background to his vocals.

All the way from the start of the album to the final bars of the Alanis Morissette cover, 'Uninvited', Skin is a good listen. Little of the record is exceptional but it does just about everything well.

Check out... 'Skin'. It's one of the catchiest and most memorable rock tracks ever.
