Album Review: Hungry (1991)
For fans of: hard rock... and bands who get their videos banned from MTV
Not to be confused with the short lived super group consisting of members of Yes and Led Zeppelin, XYZ is an L.A. based outfit formed in the late 80's.
Hungry, their 2nd album, is a hard rocking release that often crosses over into the realms of gnarly metal. Singer Terry Ilous has a sweet and tuneful voice so the songs never lose their musical edge. But like a beautifully groomed poodle, it's still got some bite.
Nothing quite matches the best song from their debut, 'What Keeps Me Loving You'. Hungry is, however, a solid and likeable album.
Check out... 'When The Night Comes Down'. Nice riffs!
