THE ROCK REALMS AWARDS 2009 - HEAVY, HARD & MELODIC ROCK SONGS

There were something like a hundred songs that could have made it into this list. These really are the best of the best of the heavy, hard and melodic rockers.

Runners-Up are in no particular order.

WINNER: Danger Danger - 'Killin` Love'

This is a phenomenal song. Seriously, just phenomenal.

2ND: Winger - 'Supernova'

This one's bigger than the entire universe...although still not as big as the first one.

3RD: Place Vendome - 'My Guardian Angel'

Half ballad, half rock song, all brilliant.

RUNNER-UP: Fair Warning - 'Station To Station'

This song is so feel-good it makes a day in Hawaii seem gloomy by comparison.

RUNNER-UP: Koritni - 'Tornado Dreaming'

Now this is what all Southern rock songs should sound like!

RUNNER-UP: Coldspell - 'Keep On Believin`'

The album is more about consistency than stand out moments, but the fact there's still a track here lets you know just how good it is.

RUNNER-UP: Dynazty - 'Top Of The Line'

If this had been released in the 1980's it would have smashed the charts. Amazing stuff.

RUNNER-UP: Bai Bang - 'Born To Rock'

It's time to party! No, really, it is.

RUNNER-UP: W.E.T. - 'Running From The Heartache'

This album had loads of top moments on it. This is the best of the hard rocking bunch.

RUNNER-UP: Jeff Scott Soto - 'Brothers In Arms'

Get drunk. Sing this song with your mates. That's the law.
