Sahara Rain is a mixture of modern and classic rock paired with oriental influences. Although the band was formed in 2007, it took another year until the final line-up was in place with Ricci (Vocals), Boet (Bass), Dave (Lead Guitar), Adrian (Lead Guitar), Bo (Keyboards) and Levent (Drums). All musicians have been playing their instruments for over 20 years, played in various bands and developed their own style on their instruments over time.
In 2009 they successfully released their debut album Sand In Your Hands. Since the album was released, songs like 'Black Gold', 'The Man You Are' and 'Shadow' receive regular airplay in the USA and Europe as global interest for the band keeps growing.
Sahara Rain will be touring Germany and Switzerland between October 2009 and January 2010. In early 2010 they will be recording their 2nd album in Germany, which will be released early next year. This new album will also be produced by Michael Bormann and pre- production work has been going on since April this year.

Grammy-nominated, mega-platinum rock powerhouse Nickelback, are premiering their new video 'Never Gonna Be Alone' on YouTube today!
The video was directed by veteran producer and longtime Nickelback friend Nigel Dick and is the fifth single from the multi-platinum album Dark Horse, produced by the legendary Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard). Nickelback were recently nominated for an American Music Award for 'Favourite Band'.

> SIMPLE MINDS ON USB
Simple Minds today announced they will issue their forthcoming Graffiti Soul UK tour entirely on USB sticks directly after each concert.
Each USB stick will come with an individual serial code number. Fans who attend the forthcoming UK tour dates, which kicks off at the Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on November 30th, will be able to purchase the live recording USB sticks directly after the concerts and can download the encores once they install the memory stick into their USB port on their computers. To download the encores, the user can automatically hyperlink to http://www.concert-online.com/ and can enter the serial code clearly marked on their USB concert stick.
Effectively, fans will be able to purchase a memory stick for all eight of Simple Minds' UK concerts, and what's more, every concert will feature a different selection of Simple Minds songs. No two concerts will have the same set list.
The live concert USB stick is the brainchild of Germany's leading online music live recording company Concert Online, whose policy is to instantly issue fans live concert recordings on customized USB sticks directly after the concerts. Simple Minds are the latest rock band to participate in Concert Online's live concert USB stick campaign, following in the footsteps of other name bands that include KISS and Madness.
"In addition to buying the USB stick after the concert at the merchandise stall," says Simple Minds lead singer Jim Kerr, "no matter where you are in the world, you can go online and download the songs from that show, or you can have the stick packaged and sent directly to you. It's amazing."

So, in the first of what will be quite a few announcements of 2010 dates, we are super psyched to confirm that we will indeed be visiting South and Central America in the first part of the year. It is extra special because we're actually going to places that Metallica has NEVER played before, including our first show in the new year in Lima, Peru on January 19, 2010 at Estadio San Marcos. In March, we will again be in cities we have never played before . . . San Jose, Costa Rica and Panama City, Panama to be specific. And as we've only had the chance to visit Caracas and Bogota once before in 1999, this leg of the World Magnetic Tour is sure to be a memorable one.
