> JOE SATRIANI CONFIRMS NEW ALBUM
Joe Satriani, one of rock music’s most renowned electric guitarists, has announced details of his highly anticipated 14th studio album, Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards. The album will be released in the UK on Monday October 4th by Epic records and dovetails Satch’s autumn 2010 UK tour, which kicks off on October 17th at the Manchester Apollo.
On the new album Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards, Satriani’s classic sound is accompanied by a surprisingly rich new texture. The first single "Light Years Away" is destined to be a hit, alongside several other high energy offerings, like “Wormhole Wizards” and “Premonition.”
Satriani joined with former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar, former bassist Michael Anthony, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith, to form the stand-out rock collaboration, Chickenfoot. After a highly successful world tour, their self-titled debut album was certified gold in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 sales.
Over the last two decades, Joe Satriani has traveled the world, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star “G3” guitar extravaganza. As one of the world’s most renowned instrumental artists, Satriani recorded Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock! in 2008 at The Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France. The live two-disc CD and DVD was released in February 2010 through Epic Records and contained such memorable songs as, “Surfing With The Alien”, “Flying in a Blue Dream”, along with recent hits like “Super Colossal” and “I Just Wanna Rock.” Of his many solo albums, two have gone platinum and four others went gold, with 15 Grammy nominations between them.
The UK release of Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards dovetails Joe Satriani’s autumn 2010 UK tour, tickets for all UK shows are on sale now and available from the national credit card hotline 0844 888 9991 or can be booked online at http://www.ticketline.co.uk/.
> SEVEN YEAR KISMET - TOUR, SINGLE AND ALBUM PLANS
Since forming in 2006, Seven Year Kismet have proved to be one of the hardest working band Metal bands in the UK. Released in 2008, their debut album ‘Not Without Incident’ received critical acclaim and with relentless dedication Seven Year Kismet have notched up over 550 live shows worldwide. Despite suffering a number of line-up changes over the past few years, being flat broke and their departure from UK label Rising Records, SYK have stuck at it. They are now, in their own words, ‘stronger than ever’ and have big plans for the future.
The remainder of 2010 will see them tour across Europe followed by a 17 date tour across South Africa in February 2011. Dates for a UK tour with Criminal and Divine Chaos in November and world tour in 2011 will also be announced in the near future. With two new singles set for release, they will be unleashing the first and a suitably killer accompanying video in October. Alongside all of that Seven Year Kismet are hard at work on a follow up to their debut album, with a release date for their second album planned for early next year.
Seven Year Kismet had this to say on their plans for the future… ‘We are very excited for the next 12 months ahead. We’ve got a ton of big stuff planned including some great tours across the world and a whole new live set to unleash on our fans. Our forthcoming single, ‘The Shame of Grace’, is just a small taster of what to expect from our new album and we’ll be filming the video for this very soon. We have been through a hell of a lot over the past year, both good and very bad in all aspects of band life, but we feel we have soldiered through and are now at a whole new level both musically and mentally…stronger than ever! Watch out for new updates soon.’
Expect to see a lot more from Seven Year Kismet from here on!

"All Paths To God" is the third song on the upcoming sixth full-length The Isolationist, set for release on October 26th. This is KRIEG's first release via international juggernaut Candlelight Records, and the first official KRIEG full-length since the acclaimed Blue Miasma album, released in 2006. Recorded and produced by Sanford Parker (Nachtmystium, Pelican, Yakuza), The Isolationist showcases some of the most varied and complex material to date, while still retaining the rabid, primal tendencies KRIEG never fails to unleash.
KRIEG is conceptualized by one N. Imperial, who since 1996 has formulated and released literally dozens of demos, splits, albums and collaborations related to KRIEG and his other related musical ventures, which also include N.i.l., Apothecary.Sound.Lodge and March Into the Sea. Imperial is also a member of Twilight which bears members of Nachtmystium, Leviathan, The Atlas Moth, Isis, Minsk and more. Joining Imperial on The Isolationist is a cast of heathens including guitarist Joseph Van Fossen (Noctuary), bassist Wrest (Leviathan), and drummer Chris Grigg (Woe).
The Isolationist Track Listing: 1. No Future, 2. Photographs from an Asylum, 3. All Paths to God, 4. Ambergeist, 5. Depakote, 6. Religion III, 7. Blue of Noon, 8. Decaying Inhalations, 9. An the Stars Fell On, 10. Remission, 11. Dead Windows

> BLACK ROSE REUNION
Following the release of the new album 'Cure For Your Disease' by NWOBHM band Black Rose, they are pleased to announce that original guitarist Kenny Nicholson has joined them in preparation for forthcoming gigs to promote the album.
Kenny was the original BR guitar player back in 1980 and featured on their first demo tape recorded at the Neat Records Studios, but he left the band before any of their records/CDs were released.
The band will be playing a set consisting of songs dating back to that first demo tape right up to the latest material on the new album, with a load of stuff to chose from in between and they are really looking forward to playing live again after an absence of over 20 years.
Visit their website at: http://www.blackrose-rockband.co.uk/ for further updates and news of live shows to be announced soon.
