> MOTORHEAD: ACES UP MY SLEEVE - THE COLLECTION
2010 celebrates the 35th anniversary since the former Hawkwind bassist, and Jimi Hendrix roadie, put together one of the loudest, nastiest and filthiest sounding bands of all time. That man was - and is - Lemmy. The band were - and are - Motorhead.
It seems appropriate to look back once more at the incredible legacy this lot have left us. This compilation spans the ten-year period from the 1977 single 'Leaving Here' (their first single) to the aforementioned 'Eat The Rich'. Each track is unique, every song is special. A period of tremendous activity and dynamism from one of our greatest ever bands.
Sleeve notes are written by Malcolm Dome, English writer and journalist for Record Mirror, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer and Classic Rock and online DJ for Total Rock.
Track list: 1. Ace Of Spades, 2. Bomber, 3. Iron Fist, 4. Leaving Here, 5. Killed By Death, 6. Louie Louie, 7. Stay Clean, 8. Overkill, 9. Please Don't Touch, 10. Dead Men Tell No Tales, 11. The Chase Is Better Than The Catch, 12. Eat The Rich, 13. I Got Mine, 14. Nothing Up My Sleeve, 15. Heart Of Stone, 16. Motorhead (Live), 17. Damage Case, 18. (We Are) The Roadcrew, 19. Shine, 20. > FRONTIERS PARTNER WITH POODLES
Frontiers Records are proud to announce their new worldwide partnership with Swedish Rockers THE POODLES, which will kick off with the world wide release of the group’s long awaited live-DVD, “In the Flesh” and the accompanying live-album “No Quarter” before the end of 2010, followed by The Poodles’ fourth studio album in early 2011. The band promises that the forthcoming studio album will be something extraordinary; a modern take on a classic rock n’ roll epic. Fans of the band will recognize themselves while the journey will take them to uncharted waters. Non-believers will get an opportunity to reappraise their beliefs and take the music of The Poodles to their hearts. The producer of “Clash of the Elements”, Mats Valentin, is once again the Captain of the new adventure and will take the band further along the road they started on together in 2009.
Since the release of The Poodles’ third studio effort, “Clash of the Elements”, the band has received and discussed several offers from potential collaborators in anticipation of future releases. After long and careful consideration, the band chose to go with Frontiers Records, a powerful independent label with a strong passion for rock music and an equally strong desire to work with The Poodles and to develop the band’s presence in all territories.
The Poodles are excited and eager to see the new business venture unfold and they have high expectations on what the partnership will bring in the near future. Jake Samuel, the lead singer of The Poodles says that “The most important thing in any collaboration is a shared vision of what one wants to accomplish. In our case, that vision must come from a deep love for rock n’ roll, mutual respect and willingness to do whatever it takes to reach your goals. I think we have found those qualities in Frontiers Records”.

> ELIMINATION SIGN TO TRANSCEND
Transcend are very pleased to announce the latest edition to their label and management roster.
Formed in 2007, Elimination had one vision; to create pure metal devastation. They did just that with the release of their debut EP, 'Welcome to Deathrow' and follow up EP, 'Nightmare Asylum'. Decimating audiences with live performances all over the UK, Elimination have since shared the stage with the likes of Evile, Gama Bomb, Criminal, Wolf, Cauldron, Forbidden, and Accept. April 2010 saw the release of their debut album, 'Destroyed by Creation'. Already described as the best British Thrash album of the year, it bears twelve tracks that expertly combine the melody and brutality that make Heavy Metal great.
Rob Ferguson of Transcend commented – ‘Elimination are pure British Thrash at its very best and are a welcome addition to our stable of straight up home grown Metal acts. Here at Transcend we always have an eye out for bands with the potential to stick around for the long haul and ride out the affectations of the scene bands. Elimination have a bunch of killer tunes and an awesome video ready to go which we cannot wait to unleash. Release details will be announced soon.’

> ONSLAUGHT!!!
Supporters (as any football team can tell you!) can often be found in the strangest of places, but an email to UK thrashers Onslaught and drummer Steve Grice this week wishing the band luck and enclosing this photograph certainly rated amongst the more bizarre fan mail the UK band had had. From Lieutenant Huw Jones of 176 Abu Klea Battery based at Camp Bastion in Helmand Province, Afghanistan the email revealed that the UK band’s music has inspired more than just the odd iPod playlist amongst the UK’s serving forces!
Even with short online times and very limited connections available between the two, drummer Grice reveals that Lieutenant Jones’ company actually has 5 unit troops that are called Onslaughts... Comments Grice, “Yes, it appears they’ve got 5 missile based ‘Troops’ (the artillery version of a platoon) which carry the call sign “Onslaught” – and this is Onslaught 82 with their GMLRS launchers outside Camp Bastion. Apparently, with a range of 70km, they cover all different areas of Helmand Province with these bad boys!! Love the shirts lads!!”
Lieutenant Jones also revealed that the co-incidence is further steeped in legend!! “I heard from one of the more Senior Soldiers actually that the name is no co-incidence. Guitarist Nige Rockett was apparently the ”inspiration” for using (read as 'stealing'!) the name. And quite frankly, we think it's just awesome!”
Onslaught’s new album “Sounds Of Violence” will be released November 15th.
