> CINDERELLA TO SWEDEN ROCK
In the 80s, Philadelphia's Cinderella was one of the most lauded and successful bands in glam oriented metal. Their debut Night Songs arrived in 1986 to become an instant mega-success. Main characteristics included Tom Keifer's unmistakable vocals, highly impressive songs and unusually prominent blues influences. The latter became increasingly dominant on the succeeding Long Cold Winter (1988) and Heartbreak Station (1990).
After the raunchier Still Climbing (1994), Cinderella were forced to take an extended break, since their music no longer had any support from the music industry. Now the band finally make their serious comeback, with their classic line-up intact: Tom Keifer (vocals, guitar), Jeff LaBar (guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass) and Fred Coury (drums).
So many of you have longed to see Cinderella at SRF - 2010 is the year it happens. And it will be the band's only Scandinavian appearance this year, as you may have guessed.

> NEW FOUND GLORY 10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION
Originally released in 2000, New Found Glory’s self-titled debut album helped define the pop-punk genre and inspired the formation of bands everywhere, paving the way for the success of groups such as Fall Out Boy. The album was boosted by a tour with Blink-182, headlining tours and a spot on the Warped Tour, and was eventually certified gold.
Assembled with the band’s participation, this commemorative version brings together the original album plus b-sides, rare gems and previously unreleased demos, as well as The Story So Far, the DVD which featured all of the band’s music videos plus concert footage, interviews and more. The package also features revealing new liner notes from each band member and the album’s producer, Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, Everclear, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard).
Bonus tracks include the rare, 'So Many Ways', 'The Minute I Met You' (from the Clockstoppers soundtrack) and 'Ex-Miss' plus the previously unreleased Jerry Finn mix of 'Hit or Miss (Waited Too Long)' and three previously unreleased demos – 'Better Off Dead', 'All About Her' and an unreleased composition, 'The Radio Song'.
New Found Glory’s 10th Anniversary album will be released on the 12th of April 2010.

> MANGROVE AND JOOST PART WAYS
Progressive rock band Mangrove and drummer Joost Hagemeijer have ended their collaboration. Manager Henri Heijink: “It was a far reaching decision for us all, but in the end an inevitable one. The band is striving for further growth and we are convinced that no musical challenge in whatever form it could appear may be ruled out. The foundation for that is an absolute commitment of the complete band.”
The remaining band members Roland van der Horst (guitars, vocals), Pieter Drost (bass) and Chris Jonker (keyboards) are pleased to announce that all scheduled gigs will take place as planned.
During the upcoming series of gigs in May drummer Remco Engels will take place behind the drum kit. Remco has many years of experience in different bands and is most of all known for his drumming in Genesis Project and the symphonic/progressive cover band Knight of the Progs.
Chris Jonker: “Recently we witnessed Remco’s drumming when he performed with Knight of the Progs. We were impressed by his playing of the drums and his enthusiastic way of performing. I am sure that he will be able to add a tremendous value to the Mangrove live shows.”
During the theatre show on 21st of May in the Gigant venue (Apeldoorn, NL) drummer Aldert Glass has offered his availability. The foundation of his own school for drums and percussion called Multipercussion - (http://www.multipercussion.com/) was based upon his passion for these instruments. Aldert is very experienced in the music business: he did instruction for many different percussion groups, he was drummer and percussionist in numerous big bands and jazz ensembles and he is regularly employed as a freelance percussionist in classical orchestras and in accompaniment of musicals.
In this way Mangrove has filled up the available position of the drums for the upcoming concert series in May. Nevertheless the band does not want to withhold interested drummers from contacting the band: management@mangrovemusic.nl.
Last year Mangrove released the critically acclaimed new album Beyond Reality. Besides the other mentioned concerts the band is headlining De Boerderij venue in Zoetermeer NL) with a special show on 20th November 2010.
