> THE NEW LOUD
Can’t Stop Not Knowing is the debut release from US electro-punkers The New Loud. Due for release March 15th 2010, the EP features 6 fantastic tracks – 3 originals, 1 extended mix, 1 demo and an awesome cover of Radiohead's track 2+2=5. The title of the EP Cant Stop Not Knowing refers to a state of everyday confusion: no matter what is accomplished or uncovered more of the unknown remains. Yet, at the same time it is impossible to stop trying to progress or to know. The band thought the phrase perfectly encapsulated all of the tracks on the EP.
Recorded by band member Shane Olivo in his studio Bobby Peru Recordings and mixed by Mark Trombino (Motion City Soundtrack, Rilo Kiley, Jimmy Eat World), CSKN is a tight and exciting fusion of electronic elements such as samples, drums loops & keyboards with traditional acoustic guitars, vocals and drums. The resulting sound of The New Loud sits somewhere between Joy Division, New Order, Franz Ferdinand, The Postal Service and The Killers to present you with some of the best dancy and anthemic indie killing electro rock you are likely to hear this year!
The New Loud will be continuing their creative collaboration with Mark Trombino well into the new year as they head back into the studio to record a brand new 10 track debut album that’s slated for release in the second half of 2010!

> MOPA
Team All About The Music is proud to announce their newest innovative talent, MOPA (MY OWN PRIVATE ALASKA), from Toulouse, France, featuring ex-members of Season Of Mist recording artist Psykup. MOPA has recently signed a deal with I Am Recordings, which is Ross Robinson’s imprint. The band’s I Am Recordings debut, Amen, was recorded by Ross Robinson (Korn, At The Drive In, Slipknot, The Cure), mixed by Ryan Boesch (Ben Harper, Helmet, Foo Fighters), and mastered by Alan Douches (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, Mastodon). Impressive indeed, as the band already has quite the track record from a full European tour with Will Haven, an opening slot for Metallica, and upcoming plans to tour the world.
A collector’s series album of Amen will be released on March 1st (double vinyl << album >> + CD << album >> + DVD). Pre-orders for the collector’s edition begin February 1st. A digital release is set for March 15, and a physical release on April 5th.
Milka (vocals) comments: “We're very excited working with Team All About The Music. With Ross Robinson recording our latest and taking in his philosophy, “stay free and stay ourselves”, we wanted to work country after country only with the most motivated people for MOPA's music. Alex Gilbert and his team are one of those. They're real workers. They don't spend their work time telling you they're working... they really just work. We appreciate that. We're hard workers too. We ate tons of roads, litres of gas, to play all over Europe. We've got history, souvenirs, and stories to tell. Now we're proud to spread our music for a strong year in 2010.”
Alex Gilbert (owner) comments: “Now-a-days, the music world is changing at such a fast pace, where stardom is arising more from a lifestyle than from the music itself. France’s MOPA unleashes a lifestyle that just might save rock and roll. The band unleashes classical and catchy piano compositions, hardcore drumming, and crazed vocals that both command and expand in so many ways, equipped with such a strong message that ultimately taps you to open up and express your true self. I’m always looking for fresh, moving, and innovative talent with a futuristic vibe, and I’m extremely excited to work with such a creative force! Look for MOPA to be on the road soon . . . everywhere.”

> Y&T UPDATES
From Dave Meniketti: The Y&T camp looks forward to a busy 2010. Other than the three February shows, the band will be hibernating in the studio as they continue working on the new album over the next several months. Look for a late spring release date worldwide. And be sure to keep an eye on the web site for new shows to be announced soon.
You've asked for more "all ages" shows. We hear you, and we're happy to announce that the second show of 2010 is an all ages show. And after many years, Y&T finally returns to Fresno. So come on out and bring the kids!
