> NEW ANGRA IN THE PIPELINE
Brazilian band Angra is currently rehearsing for the new studio album which promises to become a real sensation on the metal scene worldwide. The new, yet untitled, CD will be a conceptual one and will include 10 songs.
The new album is to be released in the second half of this year. It will be the first record from the band after the studio album Aurora Consurgens released at the end of 2006.
The front man of the band Edu Falaschi made his comments about the current situation, “Hi dudes, we are looking forward to finishing the rehearsals and to start the recording of the new album! Be prepared to hear one of the best albums in the history of Angra! It’s secure! It will be a real MASTERPIECE and the best TOUR of Angra! Power and quality, everything with the same magic like in the best moments of the band’s history!”
In the meantime, Edu Falaschi has recently launched his new official international fan-club. The fan-club offers to its members many exclusive materials regarding the artist: news, tabs, lyrics, wallpapers, screensavers, pictures etc. The service is available in English and French, and registration is free.

> SUICIDAL TENDENCIES TO SWEDEN ROCK
They have been named one of the instigators of crossover thrash, and they are definitely one of the genre's most classic bands. Suicidal Tendencies was formed in Venice, California in 1981 and released their eponymous debut two years later. The band gradually developed their very own variety of thrash, firmly rooted in savage hardcore and punk and crowned by the provocative and rap-like lyrics of main man Mike Muir.
At their commercial peak - with current Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo in the line-up - they released certified gold albums Lights Camera Revolution (1990) and The Art of Rebellion (1992). 2010 will hopefully see the arrival of the first new album in many years from one of metal's most furious acts.
They will definitely make their highly anticipated debut at SRF.

> ...AND SLAYER TO SWEDEN ROCK TOO
One of the biggest and most important bands in the history of metal, Slayer will make their Sweden Rock Festival debut this summer.
From the beginning, Slayer stood out as the spearheads of the thrash metal genre - along with Metallica, obviously - and their debut Show No Mercy (1983) was their then record label Metal Blade's biggest seller at the time.
Even more successful, not to mention influential, were albums like Hell Awaits (1985), Reign in Blood (1986) - often regarded as the pivotal thrash release - and Seasons in the Abyss (1990). Opinions are divided concerning the following era in Slayer history, with its experimental albums sans super drummer Dave Lombardo. The man returned to the band in 2002, after which Slayer have released two more albums, plus last year's World Painted Blood which in particular was heralded as a definite return to form.
Now the classic line-up with Lombardo, singer/bassist Tom Araya and guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman will finally appear at Sweden Rock Festival. This will probably be their only show in Sweden this summer with a full setlist, since the band will be given an evening slot with at least 90 minutes of stage time.

> HURON NEW ALBUM AND MORE
Huron are already being dubbed as Britain’s hardest working metal band! Since forming in 2007 they have toured the UK extensively building a strong reputation for themselves with their professionalism and brutal stage shows. Huron are a band with a vast wealth of maturity and loyalty to others and with the wonderful close bond within the band they truly are a united front.
Since the worldwide release of their debut album, Cheyne Stocking in 2009, Huron have attracted global attention with regular radio play in the USA, France, Germany and Spain as well as achieving major radio play in the UK. This coupled with some fantastic major music press reviews has established Huron on the first run of the ladder and means things are looking very exciting for the band and the release of their second album in 2010. Entitled Branded, this second album is almost finished and in their own words “is sounding fucking sick!"
Huron’s passion lies in live shows. They will admit that they have played every dive out there in a bid to build their profile and with good reason as this determination has led to shows with the likes of Valient Thorr, Firebird and Viking Skull to name a few. Huron rounded off 2009 with a fantastic performance at Hellfire Festival, Birmingham and are all set to storm the 2010 festival circuit having already been booked for Hammerfest II 2010.
Huron’s music is hard, brutal, melodic, addictive and memorable. It has an old school style but with a modern feel. Does the UK need a new injection of good music since the saturation of screamo, death metal and emo bands? YES IT DOES!
Huron is: Sean ‘Roscoe’ Palmer – Vocals, Neil ‘Sick-Boy’ Sims – Guitar, Rory Conroy – Drums & Filthy Phill Griffin – Bass.
Huron are currently unsigned and, as well as a new record label, they are on the look out for an agent and manager.
