> THERAPY? ‘EXILES’ SINGLE AVAILABLE 07.07.2010

Global Music are pleased to announce the second single from Therapy’s, "Crooked Timber" album, ‘Exiles’, available to download from July 7th 2010.

Front man, Andy Cairns, reveals some of the creative motivation behind the track: "Exiles takes its lyrical inspiration from the famous ‘Earth rise’ photograph taken by astronauts, as well as the movies 'Dark Star' and 'Silent Running’.

The rhythmical drum patterns and deep bass-lines are influenced by dubstep act, ‘Cult of the 13th Hour’, while the chiming guitars echo the sound of a rotating musical jewelry box."

With influences from early 70’s science fiction classics, ‘Silent Running’, a film which depicts the near-extinction of all human life and the struggle of the few who fight to preserve it; and also John Carpenter’s tongue-in-cheek sci-fi film, ‘Dark Star - the spaced out Odyssey’, take these influences of fantastic imagery, apply it to a pounding track full of atmospherics and you have one amazing audio track...

Track listing includes: Exiles (Gold Edition Sample Version), Exiles (Subglitch & Stitch Remix), Magic Mountain (The Dubious Twins ‘Babylon’ Remix)

This single is in collaboration with the release of Therapy’s Crooked Timber ‘Deluxe Gold Edition’ Digi-pack – a limited re-release of the band’s critically acclaimed 2009 album.

Out July 19th 2010, the release is part of the band's ongoing 20th Anniversary celebrations.
