> VISE MASSACRE PREPARE FOR JAPANESE LIVE ASSAULT

Scathing Brooklyn-based crossover trio Vise Massacre will take their brutality across the planet for a four-day romp in the empire of Japan! The tour is in support of a tribute album to Japanese act Vaginers; Vise Massacre is one of two non-Japanese bands to be included on the tribute album, which will bear 35 tracks from 17 artists in total.

Like VM frontman Rich Muller stated in a recent Noisecreep.com feature: "Vise Massacre is a stripped down, meat-and-potatoes metal outfit that will settle for nothing less than full-on progression and we will destroy anytime, anywhere." And so they shall. Look the fuck out, Japan...

Vise Massacre have more tour plans in the works which will include jaunts throughout the US during the rest of 2010 and beyond, including a hometown show in Brooklyn directly following their Japan mini-tour, and an upcoming tour in September which is in the planning phases now. They also just finished tracking a 12-song full-length album which will be completed after the band returns from Japan. Full album info will be announced shortly.

> BILLY CONNALLY - THE SILENT CANVAS

The Silent Canvas is a collection of thirteen songs written and produced by Billy Connally for both guitar enthusiasts and fans of hard rock. Drawing from influential bands that have both rock and progressive styling, the purpose of the album is to take the listener on a journey and not just impress with fretboard pyrotechnics.

''Billy's style is very much that of a rock fan through and through, and name-checking many of his influences reveals a love for the classic rock and metal players which are clearly evident in his compositions. As you might expect for a modern guitarist he's got all the technical chops you could wish for and a great line in expressive bends as well as an ear for a riff. In fact I don't think there's a song on the album that doesn't have at least a couple of ear-catching riffs and chord progressions forming it's backbone!'' - Shred Reviews/June 2010

In support of the album Billy has a band of veteran musicians in place for shows up and down the west coast this summer/fall 2010. Then a southwest tour to follow in the early half of 2011, centering around an appearance at the annual SXSW in Austin Texas!

Performance Track List: 1. Fallen Axis, 2. Stalker, 3. Perigean Tide, 4. Bending Kharma, 5. Transcendental Medication, 6. The Silent Canvas, 7. Kaleidoscope, 8. Trying, 9. Reflexion, 10. Cognitive Dissonance, 11. Sonata In Sadness Minor, 12. Blue Voudo

> NEW PLACE OF SKULLS RECORD

Knoxville, Tennessee doom metallers Place Of Skulls are pleased to announce the upcoming release of their long-awaited fourth full-length entitled As A Dog Returns. The follow-up to 2006's The Black Is Never Far was recorded at Lakeside Studios in Knoxville by Travis Wyrick and founding guitarist/vocalist Victor Griffin (Pentagram, Death Row, Cathedral, Joe Hasselvander) with drums recorded and engineered by Mike Dearing.

Said Griffin of the band's latest output: "The new album As A Dog Returns picks up dynamically where The Black Is Never Far left off. Where The Black... album had a bit more of a depressive theme lyrically, the new album tends to look to a brighter outcome. Musically we've gone further than ever before with dynamics and production. Though all the Place Of Skulls' brand of heaviness you would expect is certainly there, there's a nice ebb and flow with quieter parts which tend to set a very dramatic and melancholy mood at times to the overall album.

"With every album we've done," he continues, "our growth and progression has been evident, and this new release is no different. I'm really enjoying the growth of my songwriting as time goes by. I don't feel as if I have anything to prove so I think the writing gets more open, honest, and genuine with every release. We're very excited to finally get a new album out and hit the road again! Look for As A Dog Returns to be available in late September!"

As A Dog Returns Track Listing: 1. Timeless Hearts, 2. Breath Of Life, 3. Though He Slay Me, 4. Psalm, 5. Dayspring, 6. The Maker, 7. He's God, 8. Desperation, 9. As A Dog Returns
