With only a few days until the Download gates open for another year, the organisers have added another 14 bands to the line up including Taylor Hawkins and his Coattail Riders, Killswitch Engage & many more.

In true AC/DC, over-the-top style, only their own stage can handle the legendary spectacle that is AC/DC – resplendent with pyrotechnics, Hell’s Bells, cannons, and of course the inflatable Rosie! For the first time ever a headlining act is bringing their own stage and specifications to the Donington site, the AC/DC Stage will be situated next to the Main Stage on Friday 11 June.
This means that rock super group Them Crooked Vultures (Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme, John Paul Jones) will be headlining the Main Stage on the Friday, before AC/DC take over on their own stage. All other stages will be up and running as usual.

> EMPIRES OF EDEN ADDS SEAN PECK
Empires of Eden is very happy to announce Sean Peck as one of the featured artists on the upcoming album Reborn in Fire. The screamer from San Francisco is lead vocalist for US based power metal band Cage.
From guitarist Stu Marshall: “Sean was one of the guys I approached for the album after being a huge fan of his band Cage. His vocal range is something to really hear as the guy has one of the most intense and expressive voices in metal music today. The other great thing was his ability to compose material. I sent him a song that was really aggressive and he was able to rearrange the parts as he saw a best fit. Sean’s song 'Total Devastation' is definitely the heaviest track on the CD and pure, kick in the face screaming heavy metal."
The new album from Empires of Eden will feature some of the world’s most respected heavy metal voices. With the already announced Mike Vescera, Zak Stevens, Steve Grimmett and Carlos Zema the album also showcases the incredible talents of Aussie singers Louie Gorgievksi, Chris Ninni and Mike Zoias.

Released by 7Hard and also available on ITunes, the album is set for release globally on July 16.
> HEATHEN TO PLAY TWO WEST COAST SHOWS
Following a successful trek through Europe last month, Bay Area thrash legends Heathen will perform two special west coast shows later this week alongside fellow thrash titans/kindred spirits Exodus!

Heathen continue to reap praise from the metal masses with The Evolution Of Chaos, released in the US on February 16th via Holland's Mascot Records. The record marks Heathen's first studio offering in nearly 20 years. The band's current lineup includes David White (vocals), Lee Altus (guitar; Exodus), Kragen Lum (guitar; Prototype), Jon Torres (bass; Angelwitch) and returning member Darren Minter (drums).
