> GERMAN SCHAUSS - THE LIGHT SPEEDER
''He plays faster than the police allows musicians...his arpeggios and sweeps are incredible, and his compositions are a real blast.'' Gitarre & Bass Magazine
With dizzying precision and graceful agility, German Schauss takes us on a journey through the outer limits of sound through mind blowing guitar playing and melodic guitar lines soaring through stratospheric heights against the gravity of a rich and complex orchestral score. Using odd and even meters, German fuses the classical influences of Bach, Beethoven and Chopin with modern instrumental rock guitar music through epic music structures and lush soundscapes.
As a composer, performer and educator, German is involved in various music projects including his own solo instrumental rock project, teaching at Berklee College of Music and the Los Angeles Music Academy, writing articles for MelBay and developing an advanced Rock Guitar course on ''Shredding Techniques'' for the National Guitar Workshop's online school WorkshopLive.com. German writes the popular monthly guitar column "Instant Shredding" in Germany's biggest guitar magazine "Gitarre & Bass." He is a 5 time (2004-2009) recipient of the ASCAP Plus Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. The July 2008 Issue of Guitar World Magazine listed German as one of the fastest guitarists of all time.
Performance track List: 1. Quaedam, 2. The Lightspeeder, 3. The Awakening, 4. Chasing the Dragon, 5. The List, 6. The Final Showdown, 7. The Soul of Light

> FIRST BLACK RIVER VIDEO
All-star band Black River, which features within its ranks members of Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Neolithic and Rootwater, are proud to unleash their first video for the song 'Lucky In Hell' which comes off their upcoming new full-length Black 'N' Roll. The video features one of the most talented and popular Polish actresses – Magdalena Cielecka – who's won several important awards over the years at cinema festivals in Edinburgh, Geneva, Tokyo and Gdynia, among others.
Check the clip out here:
Black ‘N’ Roll is Black River's second full-length and offers 45 minutes of gritty, bar-ready riff rock anthems! The long player was recorded at Studio Sonus and Studio Gdansk, engineered by Malta (Behemoth) and debuted at #20 on the official Polish charts upon its European release earlier this year.
Said guitarist Kay of the offering: “It has the taste of good whiskey, it smells with sweat of girls dancing at the strip bar and with odour of car tires burnt on tarmac.”
For fans of The Cult, Monster Magnet and Danzig. Black 'N' Roll will be released in North America by Armoury Records/Eagle Rock on July 20th.
