> KOZELJNIK: INSIDIOUS SERBIAN BLACK METAL

Long Island, New York's Paragon Records' latest signing Kozeljnik are set to unleash their second full-length "Deeper The Fall" this June 22nd. > BALFOR'S BARBARIC BLOOD ART AND TUNES

Ukrainian black metallers Balfor are proud to unveil the cover art and track listing of their upcoming Pulverised debut "Barbaric Blood". Designed by Martin Saavedra at Uruguay's Spina Studio (Aborted, Daath, Divinity etc.), the cover is at once dark, brooding and apocalyptic.

"Barbaric Blood" was recorded at Blacklight Studio, Ukraine in August 2009 and mixed and mastered by Shaddar.

Barbaric Blood Track Listing: 1. From The Ashes (…The Beginning), 2. Behold My Hate!, 3. Shadow Of My Raven Wings, 4. In A Thunder Of Ancient Glory, 5. Pure Barbaric, 6. Light's Demise, 7. Kingdom's Blood, 8. Voices Of Wilderness, 9. The Perfect Fire

Comments Balfor frontman/guitarist Thorgeir of the cover: "It's always a long journey making an album. First it has to be written and rehearsed. Then it has to be recorded and mastered, and that's where most people think it ends. But it doesn't quite end there. An important factor that everyone forgets about is the artwork, and yet this is often what people notice first. So we are particularly pleased that the artwork for Barbaric Blood has been so well executed by Martin of Spina Studio. He has captured both the concept behind the album, and the band itself."

Balfor will release "Barbaric Blood" later this year via Pulverised. Further info TBA.

> DEBUT DUSTED ANGEL CHARGES TOWARDS SUMMER RELEASE

Santa Cruz doom 'n rollers Dusted Angel have just completed their debut full-length, and are putting the final touches on this beast, planning for it to be set loose this late this summer.

The burly, self-titled, 7-track melee was put to tape in San Francisco by sludgemonger Billy Anderson (High on Fire, Neurosis, Sleep) in April, mastered at TrakWorx Studios, and will see release mid-late summer on Mankind Records -- a division of Revelation Records. A solid year of live shows along the west coast have the members of Dusted Angel conditioned to jam tighter than ever, building upon the rocking hardcore-meets-stoner/doom dynamics fans of the band already love, and taking these songs to massive new levels of crushing groove. The official release date, as well as the album's track listing and cover art, will all be announced in the coming weeks.

Several strings of California gigs, including record release shows and more, are being scheduled for the coming months building towards the album's release, and the band will also relocate to the east coast for a battery of shows sometime later this year.

Dusted Angel contains members of crucial skatecore legends Bl'ast, metal experimentalists Spaceboy, sonic mindfuckers Gargantula and more. All longtime friends from time spent in previous bands, or just from growing up in the Santa Cruz skate/surf/slam scene together for the past 20 years, brought the band together in 2008. They've done nothing but rock ever since...

Stay tuned for more updates on the album, the shows, the chaos, of Dusted Angel.

> ROCK AND POP MASTERS 4TH OF JULY WITH THE TROOPS

The U.S. troops in Kuwait and Iraq are in for a treat in June and July. All-star rock aggregation, Rock & Pop Masters, is heading out to the Middle East to entertain the military. Rock & Pop Masters (RPM) is a revolving feast made up of over 30 star classic rock singers and an all-star band.

The founder, bandleader and driving force behind RPM is Larry Hoppen who is also a founding member and "the voice" of Top 5 charting group, Orleans. Orleans (http://www.orleansonline.com/) is still going strong after 38 years and who can ever forget their smash hits, 'Still The One', 'Dance With Me' and 'Love Takes Time'? Larry also brings multi-instrumental talents to the party being a fine guitarist, keyboard player and trumpeter.

Joining Larry on this tour are Jimi Jamison, Joe Bouchard, Alex Ligertwood and Skip Martin as well as the RPM All-Star Band.

Jimi Jamison (http://www.jimijamison.com/) was the lead singer of Survivor. While with the band, he had massive hits with 'Burning Heart', 'High On You', 'The Search is Over' and 'I Can't Hold Back'. He also wrote and sang 'I'm Always Here', the TV Theme from Baywatch.

Joe Bouchard (http://www.joebouchard.com/) was a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. While a member of BOC, Joe scored with '(Don't Fear) The Reaper', 'Godzilla' and 'Burning For You'. Gaining his masters degree in music, Joe has morphed his musical talents into becoming an educator.

Alex Ligerwood (http://www.myspace.com/alexligertwood) who hails from Glasgow, Scotland is best known as being the lead singer of Santana. However, Alex has also performed with the Jeff Beck Group, Brian Auger's Oblivion Express and Average White Band. While with Santana, Alex had major hits with Winning and Hold On.

Skip Martin (http://www.skipmartinmusic.com/) has been the lead singer with two major funk groups, the Dazz Band and Kool & The Gang. While with the Dazz Band, Skip was a Grammy winner for the smash hit, 'Let it Whip'. While with Kool & The Gang, Skip was also the recipient of the MOBOAwards 2003 Outstanding Achievement Award. As well being a fine vocalist, Skip is also an excellent trumpet player.

The RPM All-Star is filled to the brim with legendary musicians.

Charlie Morgan (http://www.manicdrums.com/), as well as being Orleans' drummer, filled that role with skill and style for some 13 years with Elton John. It's his beat that holds together Elton's re-recording of 'Candle in the Wind', which was THE tribute to Princess Diana. As a studio drummer, Charlie has recorded with legends such as Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Gary Moore and Justin Hayward.

John Jorgenson (http://www.johnjorgenson.com/) is known as the guitarist's guitarist. Also an alumnus of Elton's band, John played with the Desert Rose Band and has supported artists as diverse as Barbra Streisand and Bonnie Raitt. His recent tribute album to Django Reinhardt, One Stolen Night, is a masterpiece.

Lance Hoppen is along with Charlie Morgan the engine room that drives Orleans. Like brother Larry, Lance was a founder member of Orleans. Although primarily playing bass, Lance is a multi instrumentalist who switches to rhythm guitar and percussion with consummate ease. Lance has worked with Baillie & The Boys and as bandleader for Suzy Bogguss and Andy Griggs. He has also emerged as a fine songwriter.

Lane Hoppen is someone you will hear but don't always see on stage. Surrounded by his keyboards, he brings wonderful musical patterns to both Orleans and RPM. Lane has backed up such national acts as the Blues Brothers, Sonny Girasi, The Tokens, The Coasters and The Platters.

Jeff Thornton of Lone Wolf Entertainment has put the tour together.

> JOHNNY GET THE GUN

Johnny Get The Gun have been carefully honing their sound from across the River Thames for the past three years and the fresh-faced four piece now plan to take their contagious tuneage to a national level in the shape of their self-titled debut mini-album. The perfectly packaged record is officially unveiled on 23rd August, available through all digital stores.

Johnny Get The Gun have soaked up the Powerpop punk rock of My Chemical Romance, All Time Low and Fall Out Boy and inhaled the songwriting know-how of UK heavyweights such as Radiohead, Blur and Muse. And yet Johnny Get The Gun still manage to craft their own blend of melodic clout-pop. The Essex combo have a great knack for addictive melody, and the youthfulness to develop and progress to even greater heights.

Officially born in 2007 out of Grays, Essex, Johnny Get The Gun were originally brought to fruition when guitarist, Jack Lawson and singer, Wayne Lightowler met on their very first day of secondary school. Instant mates, the duo collectively began to cut their teeth in an array of school bands. They soon hooked up with friend and tubthumper, Jamie Abela. Joe Williams then answered the call and almost effortlessly slotted in with the guys to complete the line-up, adding depth to the band’s dynamic sound. JGTG were alive and up and running.

The band’s self-titled mini-album maps out JGTG’s intentions and is sure to stake a claim within the current British rock scene. Right from the off, ‘You Will Be Mine’ cunningly showcases the four-piece’s undeniable ability to pack a killer punch, delivering irresistibly sing-a-long choruses, crunching powerchords and Editor’s-esque haunting vocals. As the record progresses, it’s clear to see that these thoughtful rockers leave something deeper with their audience. As heard with ‘This Night to End’, with its emotive lyrics and striking vocal delivery, the dynamic ditty cries out to all of those broken teenage hearts. ‘Give You More’ tugs on the heartstrings again, but not before spewing out another deliciously infectious chorus.

The Londoners have a number of profile shows in the pipeline to promote the record and the irrepressible quartet head back into the studio in the Autumn with John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, You Me At Six) to lay down tracks for their debut long player, penned for release early next year. Now armed with a stunning debut mini-album and enough hooks to reel in the most cynical of curmudgeonists, the future is looking bright for JGTG!
