> THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, THE LAST HOORAH!!
The Camden, London, show at the Underworld on the 14th of March will be the final time Theatre Of Tragedy will come to the UK.
Says the band of its decision to retire after 17 years… ”Theatre of Tragedy has decided to call it a day and close down. This has not been an easy decision to make and we have thought about this for a long, long time. We finally agreed to this during the production of our latest album Forever Is The World - Tour Edition which will be bringing on our last European tour starting on March 12th.”
”Theatre of Tragedy will officially come to an end on October 2nd 2010, exactly 17 years after we started making music together.”
”Over the years all of us have strived to combine the Theatre with everyday life but in the end it has proven more and more difficult. We have come to appreciate our family lives and jobs much, much more, which makes it very hard to continue this life of rock'n'roll on the road.”
”We know that some of you will probably be very disappointed, but we also hope you will continue to listen to our music, which all of you learned to appreciate and love so much. We want to thank every one of you for all your support over the past 17 years! Theatre of Tragedy wouldn't have been possible without you!”
“Be sure to catch us on the last Theatre of Tragedy shows ever this year! The final gig will take place on October 2nd in Stavanger, where it all began.”

> CRUNCH: STARTING OVER...LIVE AT FIREFEST DVD
Emerging like a phoenix from the ashes of their former guise, the critically lauded and well-regarded melodic rock act Adriangale have reunited to form Crunch. The band features seminal vocalist Jamie Rowe (Guardian/Adriangale/London Calling), acclaimed guitarist/producer Vic Rivera (Adriangale/Poley-Rivera) and respected guitarist Eddie Campbell (Adriangale/Arabia). For the bassist slot, Crunch enlisted Doug Odell (formerly of Ice Age) to complete the newly-formed act.
“Adriangale never really had true closure,” says Vic Rivera (chief songwriter/principal architect of both Adriangale and Crunch). “This was due in no small part to our not having rights to continued usage of the name after the Crunch record was completed. Consequentially, as Adriangale’s music deserved to have a much broader audience than had previously afforded under our prior working conditions, Jamie, Eddie and myself always knew that there would be a time for us to reconvene when the right opportunity presented itself.”
Such an opportunity arose when the popular Firefest rock festival contacted Vic Rivera in November of 2006 to gauge interest in appearing at the 2007 line-up of that show. Chomping at the bit, Jamie, Vic, Ed and Doug (who had previously worked with Adriangale in the studio for the Re:Program record) were more than willing and able to participate. Though regrettably unable to secure the rights continue on as Adriangale, at the suggestion of Firefest a name change was proposed and immediately welcomed – thus, Crunch was born.
For long standing fans of the band, their live debut at Firefest was one of those moments that will live long in the memory. Cranking out a number of Adriangale classics such as ‘Feel the Fire’, ‘Without a moments Notice’, ‘Reap what you Sow’ and the ultimate weekend rock and roll anthem ‘Closer’ (which judging by the audience reaction all 1700 people already knew the words!) Crunch proved that unlike their previous outfit they have a love of the stage and their performance reflected that.. Add to that the debut of a brand new track ‘Starting Over’ the title track of the limited edition EP released only at Firefest.
Now ,when we say limited, we mean limited. There are only 500 copies of this EP in existence worldwide and Firefest have 300 copies which we and Crunch are giving away FREE ....YES ABSOLUTELY FREE to the first 300 people to purchase a copy of the Starting Over DVD, that is IN STOCK and available right now from the Firefest shop (http://www.thefirefest.com/) and the shop at http://www.rocktopia.co.uk/. Now you can have a little piece of rock and roll history and the first and only Crunch live performance DVD in your possession at the click of a mouse!
Once again, as with all of the Firefest series of DVDs, Starting Over is a limited edition DVD with only 500 copies available worldwide. It is available in PAL REGION FREE (0) and is definitely one for your collection. Considering Vic’s most recent output with Poley/Rivera and Jamie Rowe’s continued popularity with Christian rock mega stars Guardian, this DVD will sell out in record time. It’s a testament to pure unadulterated melodic hard rock delivered with the undeniable crunch (please excuse the pun!) and panache of a bona fide American hard rock band delivering their brand of weekend entertainment to 1700 new best friends at Firefest 5.
Starting Over DVD track list: 1. My Heart Will Go On, 2. Reap what you Sow, 3. Crunch, 4. No more Chances, 5. Starting Over, 6. Heartbreak Guaranteed, 7.Without a Moment’s Notice, 8. Over Said and Done, 9.Long Gone, 10. Closer, 11. Faith, 12. Feel the Fire
Starting Over EP track list: 1. Starting Over, 2. The Good Stuff, 3. Miss Me
Don’t forget, this is a LIMITED EDITION DVD and the first 300 orders ONLY will receive the Starting Over EP completely free of charge. Now that’s a bargain!!!!
