> TRUTH CORRODED NEWS

Truth Corroded is proud to welcome Andrew Parkinson as their new drummer. Andrew will be recording the band’s upcoming album titled Worship The Bled. Truth Corroded will enter the studio in July with Worship The Bled to be mixed and mastered in Sweden by Scar Symmetry guitarist Jonas Kjelgren.

Commenting on the recent developments in the band’s line up and the upcoming recording, bassist Greg Shaw said: "Andrew is a great drummer with a highly professional attitude and musical background, so the band is really pleased to have him join. He brings enthusiasm and a strong ethic that the band needs to take its music to the next stage. With most of the album being written by Mark (guitarist) and myself, using a drum machine to map out the songs, the transition has been seamless. Andrew has started working on the new songs and we look forward to entering the studio with him in July. The new songs are some of the fastest the band has written, but also the most crushing. This album builds on the previous album Upon The Warlords Crawl, but destroys using new methods."

Former drummer Liam Okninski has left the band to join the army. His last shows with the band will be on May 22nd in Adelaide, South Australia and the Dead Of Winter Festival in Brisbane, Queensland on July 3rd.

> FRAMEPICTURES REMEMBER IT

Originally formed in 2004 as a group of session musicians backing up a pop vocalist, the band realized that prog was where they wanted to be and ventured out as an instrumental group similar to Planet X. After some time in this configuration they decided that having a vocalist was what they needed and found Tiago and started working on their first album.

The debut album of the Portuguese band brings to the 21st century the same non-conformism and artistic expression without boundaries that was so fresh in the past, through musicians like Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Thom Yorke and Steven Wilson. Varying from the most aggressive up-tempo guitar riffs to the intimate warmth of the grand piano, Remember It is stretching from left to right of the rock repertoire, including the 25 minute conceptual seven-part epic song 'My Will to Live'.

FramePictures is Tiago Delgado on vocals, Artur Jorge on drums, Helder da Silva on guitar, Ricardo Drumond on bass, and Mafalda Brogueira on keyboards.

The album is set to be released on ProgRock Records on the 13th of July 2010.

Track list: 1. Memories Faded Away, 2. Remember It, 3. Call For Me, 4. Don't Trust My Eyes, 5. Why Nobody Cares, 6. Shadows Black and Grey, 7. My Will To Live

> PBII'S PLASTIC SOUP

Plastic Soup is the first album of the new Dutch Progressive rock band PBII, the successor to the well known Plackband of the 70's and 80's, often called the Dutch Genesis.

Plastic Soup however, has a sound that is absolutely 2010: modem, fresh and rocky but still with some great symphonic influences of the past. Stylistically, you could place it somewhere between Spocks Beard, Porcupine Tree, Frost*, Marilion, Linkin Park and Genesis. Special guests include John Mitchell (Arena, It Bites, Frost*), John Jowitt (IQ, Frost*) and Heidi Jo Hines (daughter of Denny Laine of Wings).

Though not a concept album, the central theme of the album is the environment. Plastic Soup is another name for the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, floating in the ocean with a size twice that of the US. The discoverer of this plastic soup is captain Charles Moore, who also did some voiceovers on the album.

PBII wishes to get more attention to this environmental problem.

The album is set to be released on ProgRock Records on the 13th of July 2010.

Track list: 1. Book of Changes, 2. In the Arms ofa Gemini, 3. Ladrillo, 4. Loneliness, 5. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, 6. Criticize the Critics, 7. It's Your Life, 8. Fata Morgana, 9. Living by the Dice, 10. Cradle to Cradle

> SKY ARCHITECT'S EXCAVATION OF THE MIND

Excavations of the Mind can best be described as symphonic, complex, dynamic, versatile and ambitious. Thriving to revive and reinvent the progressive style and sound of the 70's, the album hopes to reclaim a place for symphonic rock-music in the 21st century. The album dives into the dark and disturbing psyche of a mentally troubled man, while staying true to the concept oriented nature of progressive rock music. The music has a complex structure with a lot of instrumental freedom. Vintage keys add to the warm, symphonic character of their sound. You can often hear a hint of bands such as King Crimson, Gentle Giant, The Flower Kings, Porcupine Tree and Pain of Salvation in their music. The epic magnitude of the album takes the listener on a journey into ones vivid imagination.

Renowned rock illustrator Mark Wilkinson, famous for his work with Marillion, Fish and Judas Priest has created the artwork for the CD.

The album is set to be released on ProgRock Records on the 13th of July 2010.

Track list: 1. Deep Chasm part 1: Charter, 2. Deep Chasm part 2: Chime, 3. Deep Chasm part 3: Changeling, 4. Deep Chasm part 4: Chasm, 5. The Grey Legend, 6. Russian Wisdom, 7. Excavation of The Mind, 8. Gyrocopter

> SCORPIONS RECEIVE WORLD MUSIC AWARD

After a triumphant tour kick-off and a gold album from their home country Germany for Sting in the Tail, the rockers were honoured anew: the Scorpions received the World Music Award at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club on May 18th, in presence of Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Back in 1992, the band proudly accepted the award for Best International Selling Artist from Germany. However, this time, Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Pawel Maciwoda and James Kottak were awarded with the World Music Rock Legend Award for their outstanding contribution to rock music.

The show was aired in over 160 countries around the world, including Japan and China. More than 100 million viewers were said to have tuned in. The event was a logistical challenge for the Scorpions: after performing in front of sold out crowds in Germany and Switzerland, all five members of the band accepted the award, right before they had to depart for a concert in Paris. They will be back to complete the German leg of their Get Your Sting and Blackout farewell world tour on May 29, where they will rock the Capital city Berlin. Next stops after that: Greece, USA, Canada, the world!
