> EYES OF ISIS RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE "THE ANSWER ABOVE"
After years of searching for the right individual’s, band founder and lead vocalist Jordan Davidson met writing partner/lead guitarist Chase Rennie. In 2010 the band was completed by drummer David LeBel formulating the rock and roll powerhouse that is Eyes of Isis.
Eyes of Isis are proud to announce the release of a single that tells a story of love and hope: "The Answer Above". The song has a universal theme; no matter how bad things seem to be, there is always someone out there to help. A well structured release that highlights the bands maturity on all levels. The completion was a task for Eyes of Isis. Staying true to self beliefs and personal experience produces intense emotion, where every word is felt with meaning and depth. Everything it took to get The Answer Above to its final state was worth the effort in rehearsal, recording and finally, the delivery.
Eyes of Isis have opened for Kutless and Stellar Kart at the Lethbridge Enmax stadium. They have also performed all around western Canada and have been approached by Road Runner Records UK, as well as several independent record labels.
Eyes of Isis will be recording a professional EP with hit producers Mike Fraser and Jeff Dawson which is set to release in 2011.
“If you want to see an energetic live, interactive concert, Eyes of Isis is the band to see. When we perform we give it our all. Our fans are the most important piece of our band. Without them, we would be nowhere.”
"The Answer Above" will be released on February 3rd 2011.

> THIN LIZZY TO SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL
Thin Lizzy was one of the prime hard-rock bands of the 70s. During the years with legendary vocalist/bassist Phil Lynott at the helm, i.e. 1969-83, the band produced innumerable classic tracks like "Whisky in the Jar", "Boys Are Back In Town", "Jailbreak", "Don't Believe a Word" and "Cold Sweat". Songs with a unique combination of groove, melody and ingenuity. No reunion was ever made before Lynott's passing in 1986, but ten years later the surviving members of Thin Lizzy's final line-up decided to start playing the classics again, under the old monicker. The line-up changed several times, and in 2009 Thin Lizzy seemed to face permanent dissolution. But no. May 2010 marked the band's official return in its strongest incarnation for a very long time. Namely former Thin Lizzy-members Scott Gorham (guitar), Brian Downey (drums), Darren Wharton (keyboards) and Marco Mendoza (bass), along with guitarist Viv Campbell (Def Leppard, ex-Dio) and singer Ricky Warwick (ex-The Almighty). Saying that Thin Lizzy are welcome back to SRF would be an understatement, the legend is back with a vengeance!
> SLAVES TO FASHION HAVE ARTISTIC DIFFERENCES
SLAVES TO FASHION is releasing a new album on February 4th 2011. The album is titled “Artistic Differences” reflecting the band members’ different musical backgrounds, ranging from pop, progressive rock, black metal and modern rock. Thus the four-piece from Norway mixes metal, pop and progressive rock in a shameless way, while always focusing on their shared passion for the essential ingredient in all music: great melodies and a great sound.
To quote one of my heroes: “This album is not fast food for the ears. But it is still quite in your face”, says guitarist Torfinn Sirnes.
Singer Johannes Støle adds: ”Every band wants to find that unique sound that really defines the band - and this time I really think we have come close. But you’ll still hear a lot of our different influences in there, like Queensrÿche, Peter Gabriel, A Perfect Circle and Deep Purple.”
”Artistic Differences” is being released by new German underground label Hands Of Blue Records and songs from the album can be heard at http://www.myspace.com/slavestofashion.
> FIELDS OF NEPHILIM ANNOUNCE HEADLINE PERFORMANCE AT WGT 2011
Fields of the Nephilim have confirmed that they will be headlining Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2011.
The ‘Wave Gothic Meeting’ is a 25,000 capacity, four-day festival in Leipzig, Germany, that celebrates 'dark culture' and so it follows, that Fields of the Nephilim’s seminal sound will be heard, headlining the AGRA venue, on the festival’s 20th Anniversary.
Fields of the Nephilim are honoured to be performing on Sunday, June 12th, and as always, WGT Festival is set over the Whitsun weekend, the Pagan celebration of Summer’s Day.
Carl McCoy, creator and vocalist of Fields of the Nephilim, was influenced from a very young age by a ‘dark culture’, aiding his decision to pursue a career in art and music. He embraced the world of the occult and portrayed the apocalyptic climate of the American Wild West and it was America’s discordant past that inspired Fields of the Nephilim’s emerging brand of aural delights, expressed in tracks such as ‘Trees Come Down’, ‘Power’, ‘Preacher Man’ and ‘Dawnrazor'.
