“HEAVEN GREY” was formed in 1993 initially as a death metal band, and then, influenced by such bands as Paradise Lost, Tiamat, My Dying Bride and Sentenced moved on to doom/gothic metal with lyrics written in Latvian and English.
The band released 2 albums in the 1990-ties: "Memory River" (1996) and "Northwind" (1998) and became a one of the most well-known acts in the metal community of Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, "HEAVEN GREY" split up due to personal reasons at the beginning of 2000and then came tragedies and sorrow: the band's lead guitarist Sigvard Blazhevich died in 2004 and the lead vocalist of "Heaven Grey" Ansis Melderis died in 2005 in a motorcycle accident.
But in 2007 the band reunited and returned to active rehearsals and live performances. A self-financed come-back album “Falling Mist” was released in June 2010 and now the band is working on a material for the next release.
