Nick Cappelletti - Songs Almost LostFrom the time Nick Cappelletti was very young he has had a strong relationship and deep fascination with music and art that was influenced and inspired by his mom's record collection comprised of David Bowie, The Who, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac. Nick absorbed the craft of great lyrics and storytelling before even developing the coordination to be able to play an instrument. As Nick's curiosity for music expanded he became eager to explore the noises that were creating these powerful and unique sounds.

At age 8 Nick started taking piano lessons from a local teacher that stressed practice and perfection. Nick learned about theory and the importance of gaining knowledge of the piano to be able to compose for an entire orchestra. After a couple years of piano he moved on to start drums where he realized the impact of rhythm and discovered new ways to construct percussive tones and combine them with other instrumentation. Throughout high school Nick played and performed in local and steel drum bands.

Nick attended Cal Lutheran University in 1998 where he was introduced to and classically trained over the course of a intense 4 year music program. During his time Nick was challenged by new ways of composing songs and different techniques in performance. With the help of his professors and private study his eyes and ears were opened to contemporary and advanced ways of writing pieces of music as he performed in concert band, jazz band, studied classical guitar, pitched percussion, voice and piano. Nick graduated in 2002 with his B.A. in music with and emphasis in percussion.

In 2006 Nick started the band Lux and they released a 5 song EP that featured the song "Divine Arrows". This is the time Nick really started to find his voice and truly embraced his warm bass/baritone vocal range. In 2007 Nick started a new band Ghost Note that recorded and released a full length record on Roam The River Records titled "Frozen Mirrors". This dark themed album gained a niche following and the song "Death's Lullaby" will be featured in an indie film in 2011. Nick also composed the score for the film. In 2010 Cappelletti released his debut concept record "Songs Almost Lost" which featured over 20 musicians and 25 instruments. This album has been received very well and is in radio circulation around the world.

In 2011 Nick is scheduled to record and release records for Ghost Note and his solo project as well as films scores and various writing projects. In his career Nick has performed hundreds of concerts and has composed music for over 12 years. Music is a vital part of his life and he is blessed to have been shed it's saving light amongst so much darkness.
