Trick or Treat have been performing since 2002 as an Italian tribute to German band Helloween.
The band was the brainchild of guitarist Luca Cabri, who got together with Nicola
Tomei, first drummer of the band, and bass player Leone Villani Conti.
The three school mates shared the same strong passion for Helloween.
Cabri’s choice of vocalist was local singer Alessandro Conti and the line-up was completed by Guido Benedetti, a guitar virtuoso who was already
playing with Leone in the prog band Black Fabula from Modena.
After two years of live experience the band decided to record their own songs and, in July 2004, Trick or Treat finished the recording of Like Donald Duck.
Like Donald Duck, a 4 track demo of pure "happy metal", received praise aplenty from webzines and the accolade of “best power metal demo of the year” from both http://www.truemetal.it/ and http://www.eutk.it/.
The success of Like Donald Duck enabled Trick or Treat to sign for the Italian label Valery Records. In 2005, after spending the summer in the famous "Fear studio" in Ravenna, the debut album Evil Needs Candy Too came to light. Around that time, Nicola Tomei left the band and was replaced by the talented drummer Mirko Virdis. The success of the debut album saw the band playing more than 100 live shows across Italy & Europe and, in the summer of 2007, onto a USA tour.
In 2008 Trick or Treat returned to the studio for the recording of the new album, Tin Soldiers. During the album production two important guest stars agreed to take part on the new album. Michele Luppi (ex Vision Divine) lends his voice to 'Take Your Chance', and Michael Kiske, the unforgettable voice of early Helloween and Place Vendome performs both 'Hello Moon' and 'Tears Against Your Smile'.
